Friends of the Salina Animal Shelter are working in a
variety of areas to improve the lives of pets in our
community, including:
 Shelter Volunteers: Walk a dog, pet a kitten!
 Public Relations: Got writing, photography, or web skills?
 Special Events: Plan Walk-the-Dog or Photos with Santa Paws.
 Adoption Promotion: Show off shelter pets at PETCO.
 Public Education: Share your knowledge with others!

Mission Statement
The primary mission of the Friends of the Salina Animal
Shelter is to support the efforts of the Salina Animal Shelter
(SAS) to enhance the lives of companion animals in our
community. We are an all-volunteer group created to assist
the SAS staff with our time, labor, and interest in re-homing
abandoned and stray animals, reducing animal overpopulation,
and promoting actions by pet owners that insure healthy, safe,
and long-term relationships with their animals.
